The
activity aims at providing a common platform to the students of both the
partner schools to share deeds of selfless service done with a difference in
different countries but with the same noble aim and cause. Students
in both the schools will undertake the following activities to put their
words into action. v Class Discussion
on ‘Sewa’ The students, in both India and Trinidad,
will participate in a class discussion on the topic 'SEWA' -what it means to
them and how they can actually perform Sewa for others, especially serving
the elders and betters of the family: serving our immediate environment, and
serving the creation of Mother Earth. v Best Out of
Waste Activity 'Best
out of Waste' activity will be undertaken wherein students of both schools
will make attractive gift items like pen stands, origami flowers, key
holders, special day cards, bird feeders, etc. The students will use the bird
feeders and record their 14 -day observation in the 'SEWA' notebook and share
with the partner schools. v Visit to Old Age
Home The
students of both the schools would visit an old age home to bring happiness
in the lives of senior citizens living there. They will present small
cultural program to entertain them and gift them items that they have
prepared in school. Both the partner
schools will share their experiences. v Awareness
Drives: Students of both the schools will prepare posters and pamphlets to spread the message of conservation of Mother Earth by initiating noble acts like refusing plastic use and saving water. The creativity will be shared with the partner school. Learning Outcome: At
the end of the activity, the students will be able to Knowledge
- gain awareness on addressing real world problems and serving the world
community. Skills
- recognise their roles and responsibility as citizens and further encourage
involvement across borders in helping those in need for the well-being of the
world. Attitude
- expand their bubble of concern and to encompass a wider spectrum and aids
in creating a generation of committed and selfless |
